Burna Boy’s Producer & Family Wins Maltina Dance All ’8
The Utere’s went home with the star prize of a whopping N10 million after securing the largest number of votes.
The
grand finale, which was the culmination of weeks of suspense, drama and
excitement saw the Utere family from Port-Harcourt, Rivers State
crowned winners of the 2014 edition of the show.
The
Uteres went home with the star prize of a whopping N10 million after
securing the largest number of votes in the keenly-contested
competition.
Apart
from the grand prize of N10 million, the Utere family also earned the
title of Nigeria’s number one dance family while the Uzodinma family
which claimed the second position went home with N3m and the Odigie
family was rewarded with N1m for their efforts as 3rd.
It
would be recalled that 10 families were initially admitted into the
famed Maltina Dance academy, after which they were subsequently reduced
to four families – Utere, Uzodinma, Odigie and Unanka – that took part
in the grand finale.
It
is also worthy to mention that the Utere family already has their son,
Eric Isaac Utere popularly called Leriq doing very well in the
entertainment industry. The 26 year-old Leriq is a producer cum musician
currently signed on to Aristocrat Records.
He
is solely responsible for producing Burna Boy’s debut album L.I.F.E
which had tracks like ‘Like to party’, ‘Tonight’ and others and the
album was ranked 10th on Nigeria Entertainment Today’s 12 best albums of
2013.
Leriq has gone ahead to release songs of his own which include ‘Turn up’ and ‘Comment tu ta’pelle’
