Meet the fast rising singer who won Timi Dakolo’s $1000
A week ago, Timi Dakolo announced a singing competition where the winner would win a mouthwatering sum of one thousand dollars.
According to the singer, all the fans had to do was sing, record and upload a rendition of the ‘Great Nation’chorus,
a special Independence song by Timi Dakolo, with the video with highest
votes on his timeline set to win the cash prize on offer.
In
the past week, countless entries flooded Timi Dakolo’s timeline on
social media, especially on Instagram, from the good, hilarious to the
mundane and on Sunday, October 5, the singer kept to his word as he
announced that fast rising singer, Kolly Dee has emerged as the winner.
The winner, ‘Kolly Dee’ (Kolade Alade) is from Aramoko in Ekiti State and is a fast rising singer and student of medicine at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine.
In February 2014, he released his debut single ‘Don’t Go’.
