The BBC 100 women list is a series created as at 2013 by Fiona crack and various other journalist which  examines the role of women in this 21st century.

The 100 women list has the names of prestigious ladies around the world who are invited to a conference whereby the address issues like education, healthcare, domestic violence, equal pay, genital mutilation just to mention a few

Two Nigerian women where   enlisted to tell their stories and this include Funke-Bucknor Obruthe, a 40 year old woman who is a successful wedding planner and a Chief Executive at Zapphaire events  and Omotade Alalade who created an infertility foundation.

Four other women from South Africa were listed with a total of 14 women from Africa.
