Benin Republic’s own singer/songwriter and activist Angelique Kidjo won her 2nd ever Grammy for her album, Eve in the ‘World Music Category’ and that’s great. But it’s the lovely African print she wore to the Grammy Awards in LA that has everyone buzzing. On accepting the award the excited 54 year old dedicated the award to the women of Africa.

“This album is dedicated to the women of Africa — to their beauty and resilience. Women of Africa — you rock!. For me, music is a weapon of peace, and today more than ever, as artists we have a role to play in the stability of this world,”
